Moving Credentials

At the time of publishing this website I have moved 29 times, 19 of those in my 25 years of marriage, enough to put a strain on the strongest marriage! My moves have occurred at various stages of my life including with two children and a dog on tow, enough to drive you crazy! I have relocated across three countries, 19 towns and three US states. Currently I live in Portland and insist on putting down some roots in this rich Oregon soil. 

BIO                     

Kiran was born in Jaipur, India and grew up in London, England. She has a university degree in English Literature and was a primary school teacher in the East End of London. After relocating to Detroit, USA, Kiran became a temporary teacher,  focusing on her family. She got a Masters degree in the teaching of Reading and Language Arts and was inspired to write for publication. Her first poem Where I'm From has been published in the Michigan Reading Journal. In Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kiran taught Writing at the university level until her family's recent move to Portland, Oregon. Now, after years of being a homemaker and "trailing spouse", Kiran is pursuing a career and her love of writing.
