Moving Poems

We would love to publish your move-related poems. Creative writing is a wonderful, therapeutic outlet for all the emotions experienced in a move.  Even if you have never written a poem before, I urge you to have a go.  To submit your poem, please click "Contact Me" and copy and paste the poem onto our feedback form . Work submitted must be well edited and be your own.

Bye Bye

The coming

And going

The lost

And the found

The roaring of engines

And the wind that left the ground,

The sigh of the guests

The one person who cries

The lost

And the found

The roaring of engines

And the wind that left the ground

Once again

The person who cries

The wave that we make

To say goodbye

Is all that is needed

To make us cry

                Millan (aged 9)

Home

The new green roof

Shiny windows

And hardwood floors

Are not home.

Home is the life lived

Within those walls,

That you pack with you

In your heart

When you move

To another place.
